    DLS NZ

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if schools in the UK offered this?

Davis Focusing Skills. To give self-directed ability to focus on the learning task at hand

Davis Symbol Mastery. For alphabet, punctuation and basic sight words

Davis Reading Exercises. To improve word recognition and comprehension skills

The Davis international community held a symposium in the UK in October 2018. Two inspirational presentations came from groups of facilitators working using Davis Learning Strategies (DLS) in India and in New Zealand. This video shows  from the USA and also the school in India  and goes on to explain in detail what happened in New Zealand as the primary school experience improved for pupils and staff using DLS method, successfully.

    Spread the word!

Parents: tell your children’s teachers; teachers: tell your heads.

To get the Davis Learning Strategies into your school contact The Davis Learning Foundation and speak to Richard Whitehead.

Below is a graphic representation of the improvement experienced in 10 schools in New Zealand after attending a 2-day Davis Learning Strategies workshop. When properly implemented, we see every single child reaching or surpassing the NZ national standards for reading.
