My centre is in Moggerhanger – a small village in Bedfordshire, approximately 2 miles from the A1 and Sandy Mainline Railway Station.

I am a qualified teacher and hold a Diploma in teaching students with Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia).  For 16 years I worked full time running an SpLD/Dyslexia Base in Hertfordshire.  From 2011 until 2017, I worked part-time as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) in a Primary School alongside my Davis work. I received my Licence as a Davis Dyslexia Facilitator in 2011 after many months of training.  Since then I have provided dozens of programmes for clients, and offered advice to many other enquirers.  I especially enjoy working with children, particularly those who find Maths, Reading and Spelling a bit of a challenge.

Having spent many years teaching children diagnosed as Dyslexic, reading widely on the subject and attending and hosting a huge number of training courses, it is only since training to be a Davis Dyslexia Facilitator that I have finally found a rational and successful answer to the enigma of Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, ADHD and Autism.   I have had the privilege of working with many exceptionally talented visual learners who even after years of traditional teaching have still found reading, writing and spelling incredibly difficult.  With the emphasis in schools on phonics, phonics and yet more phonics, many visually talented and creative youngsters are failing to discover the joy of reading. Stuck with their default phonic method, they are failing to recognise and spell everyday words such as here, there, were, where, come, was, they, once, you and would.  The list is endless; in fact Ron Davis, creator of the Davis method of learning, suggests that there are over 200 words of this nature.  As well as being difficult to spell, they do not trigger a visual image in the mind in the way that words such as tree, table, house and book do.

Ron Davis has provided us with a unique way of tackling the root causes of dyslexic difficulties.           I would love to see Davis techniques adopted in every primary school.  Please contact me on the email address or phone numbers above for further details.
