Gilda initially trained as a potter becoming well known in the world of British Studio Ceramics for Fine White Porcelain. She demonstrated, lectured and exhibited widely across the UK and abroad.
An interest in personal development led her to train as a life coach, business coach and trainer. Dyslexia/ neuro-differences in the work place have been her focus. From nurses to managers, local government to the oil industry, Gilda has coached professional clients to be more productive, confident and happy at work.
Approached by parents to support children and teenagers with dyslexia and dyscalculia, she searched for an approach that addressed the core of the challenges that come with dyslexia. Training as a Davis Facilitator was not only the answer to this quest; she also found effective approaches for problems encountered in the workplace, for instance prioritising and time management.
Experience of working with adults increased her passion to support children and teenagers; help them to get the best start so they can overcome challenges, unfold talents and be confident. Working with adults, her rich experience brings the unique gifts of a Davis Programme together with clients’ workplace needs.
Gilda is a dyslexic learner herself; it has given her a personal awareness and knowledge of the challenges of those with dyslexia. A love of learning and problem solving recently led to her becoming a student of Psychology at the Open University. Having completed the second year successfully her current focus is in Educational Psychology.
